- The blobfish is a vertebrate that lives in depths between 600 and 1,200 meters. The fish has no predator because of its acid like skin. It eats sea urchins, shell fish and mollusks. A female blobfish lays a thousand eggs every reproductive cycle. The blobfish care for their young until they mature. The blobfish is shorter than 30 centimeters, and have small eyes. It has gel like pink skin. The flesh of a fish is a gelatinous mass with density less than water. Blobfish' skin has acidic properties that make it poisonous and dangerous. Despite it's defense, it gets endangered by getting caught by fishing nets and other human causes like global warming.
